Be wary of empty Promises

Some politicians will say anything to get elected.
They will actively engage in politics of division. They will ruin the stability of the economy just to put voters in a compromising position and win votes.
Voters be wary of the promises being peddled by politicians. Listen to what they have to offer and scrutinize the promises with a lot of sobriety.
Let us ask the hard questions. How it will be done? Why? By whom? At what cost? For what benefits? With what timelines? For what purposes?
I have listened to the peoples’ demands, I have walked with you in disasters, I have journeyed with you when we fight for water when we fight for our fair share of the new market.
I have been with students who have missed bursaries and we have overcome. I have been with sportsmen and women who have struggled with finances to take them to their next game.
I have walked the journey with our special PWD and I know what it takes to set up a business, to get the next meal, to get medication, or even move from one point to another.
I have been with the Environmentalist when we have to clean up the forest, cleaned Ngong hills with Tr Right man and I have been there to ensure that our drainage system is not a dumping site. We have planted trees together. We have discussed the effects of plastic
I have been with you when our security has cost us lives and properties. I have been with you when our roads have claimed lives, especially for our Boda Boda brothers.
I promise to be with you when we face the challenges after the elections. I promise to put your needs first and to come up with a speedy solution at the most affordable cost. I promise to leave my door open for any criticism and I promise to do what you have sent me to do.
A vote for PC Kariuki Gutuiyu is a win for you.
Within the first 100 days in office, we should have automated the way bursaries are disbanded.
Within the first six months, we should have come up with a lasting solution for our water shortages. Even if it means breaking it down and letting the community manage its own water.
I promise on the first budget to give the youth and PWDs each a project to construct from start to completion and keep the profits. Be it the Gataka market or social hall. Be it a police post office to handle gender-based violence or the freshwater kiosk for youths.
We shall do a lot together. You will be part of my story as we gear up to transform the constituency we call home. Let us have a fresh breath for Kajiado North.
